Gartner has issued a warning urging BlackBerry users to abandon the platform and migrate to other alternatives as soon as possible.
Following the recent quarter report showing a 1 billion USD loss for BlackBerry, and the BlackBerry acquisition by Fairfax Financial Holdings, the well renowned Gartner analyst firm has issued a warning. According to Gartner, BlackBerry users should start to look for alternatives immediately. This in particular includes government agencies and corporations.
Gartner believes that the BlackBerry platform at present is too high risk and the chances of a recovery are small. Therefore, users who depend on BlackBerry for critical applications should migrate to other alternatives in order to minimize potential damage due to the current volatile BlackBerry situation.
