SkyDrive Pro improved on 3 significant points

Microsoft SkyDrive Pro has been updated with improvements that should benefit all users on three major points.

Best SkyDrive storage cloud
Microsoft recently updated their SkyDrive Pro cloud service. While many changes where made under the hood, for users subscribing to the SkyDrive Pro service, 3 points should be very well welcomed and improves the overall quality of the service as shown below.

  • Storage space increased: The default storage space for SkyDrive Pro has been increased to 25 GB. By allocating shared space and by purchasing extra storage space, this extra space can be increased to 100 GB.
  • Maximum file size limit increased: The maximum file size for an individual file has been increased to 2 GB.
  • Trash can prune time increased: Files that are deleted and moved to the trash can will now remain there for 90 days. During this period, files can be restored and after 90 days the files will be purged permanently.
While the improvements certainly are welcome, in all honesty they are not very impressive considering the harsh competition from other cloud storage services who have already been offering similar or better terms for a long time.
